Join us for an immersive, hands-on, packed workshop exploring the world of traditional decorative finishes. Whether you are passionate about heritage restoration, interior design, or simply keen to learn new creative techniques, this course offers a unique opportunity to master time-honoured skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Participants - Minimum 3 (for workshop viability), Maximum 12

Project - Complete 4 Separate Decorative Effects Boards to take home

 

Workshop Schedule

09.15 - Registration

09:30 – 11:30 - Introduction to Wood Graining

Learn the fundamentals of wood graining using traditional tools and paints. Explore wood patterns and graining techniques for realistic effects.

11:30 – 13:00 - Introduction to Malachite

Discover the art of replicating malachite stone finishes. Explore the art of colour layering and veining to create visually striking decorative surfaces.

13:00 – 13:30 - Lunch Break

Enjoy a well-earned rest and break for lunch.

13:30 – 15:00 - Introduction to Faux Marbling

Get hands-on practise with faux marbling, learning how to recreate the look of real marble with paint, brushes, and sponges.

15:00 – 17.00 - Introduction to Crackle Glaze

Explore crackle glaze techniques to mimic antique cracked and aged surfaces.

  • Create four unique decorative finish boards using heritage techniques.

  • Develop skills in wood graining, malachite, faux marbling, and crackle glaze.
